The philosophy of shared laboratories has been designed and used in the past thirty years by the “group theory and practice of knowledge” coordinated by Antonio Botticelli, ENEA Frascati-Tib.
The philosophy inspired by the way the “social constructionism” theorized by Gregory Bateson, provides the construction of the reality of each individual / organization / company through new forms of communication and interaction processes, cooperation and sharing with other individuals / organizations / companies of individual cultural, technological, logistical, financial with extensive opportunities for the sum fruition these resources, which combined with the specific sectoral expertise can address and solve complex problems of any kind.

As exemple of continuity of the shared labs philosopy today there is a large Scientific Community which daily coperate to develop a new generation of equipments with the most powerful features to capturing surface and to measures complex geometries of components with nanometric resolution as a tool for different tasks: manufacturing and / or predictive life cycle of the product, using additional software for CAD /CAM elaboration and FEM analysis.
